Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager

As Digital Content Writer/Producer, I lead our team's research, development, and implementation of Google Analytics 4.

Situation: Webster University migrated from a decade-old legacy site to an entirely new platform and styled code. The University's configuration of Universal Analytics was known to have data integrity issues.

Research / Analysis: Self-directed training, research and experimentation learn Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager; coach and collaborate with team members on cross-functional learnings; designed and implemented tracking schema for campaign marketing measurement, including UTM parameters and QR codes in print materials; measure performance of campaigns in Analytics.

Security / Privacy considerations: GDPR requirements have strict rules, and many existing systems were developed before these considerations were in effect; additionally, our team outlined best practices for account management for open data access across the global network.

​Solution: Implementing Google Analytics 4 (GA4) continues to provide new and relevant insight about users of the site.
